To be teachable, one must be humble

We need humility to learn and acquire the knowledge and skill we need to move up the ladder in life.

In our image-conscious and quick judgement culture today, a lot of us, lack certain basic requirements that will enable us move forward and upward.

These requirements most often are not acquired academically, they can be gotten from nature and from the simple everyday things in life that we overlook as not being important.

Here are a few practical things we can do to build our humility:

"Never say there is nothing beautiful in the world anymore. There is always something to make you wonder in the shape of a tree, the trembling of a leaf." 🌿

- Albert Schweitzer

Nature teaches us vital lessons daily. We sometimes need to take a break from the rat race, to just pause and carefully observe the things around you. There are several humbling lessons from nature, that we can learn

The focus here is on the act of praying.

Praying means:

- to make a request in a humble manner

Merriam-Websterhttps://www.merriam-webster.com › dictionary › pray

It takes humility to pray. Personally , I believe in the humbling power of prayer. Praying helps us to come a realization, that as humans we are limited and we cannot accomplish much on our own. In other words prayer acknowledges that God is sovereign and controls all things.
